News / WHG programme: up-to-date classics

With the 2008 launch of its WHG programme, Kembo has given a new lease of life to some classic designs from the company’s early years.

WHG stands for Willem Hendrik Gispen, who with Ru Meijer was one of Kembo’s founders. Several chairs and tables that he designed for our company at that time have been relaunched in a partnership with interior designer Bart Vos. The original designs turned out to be very suitable for production using today’s techniques. Bart Vos has put together a modern collection of colours and materials especially for this programme. The new variants show how contemporary this furniture still is. The new collection offers customers and those commissioning projects a wide variety of ways of configuring the furniture themselves to suit their own taste and interior.

The WHG programme consists of 5 chairs, 2 armchairs and 2 low tables. Frames: epoxy-coated steel rod, finished in a range of colours. Backs and seats: bent beech plywood with fireproof CMHR polyether foam. Upholstery: quality furnishing fabrics and leather in many colours. Table tops: glass or wood, with HPL top and ABS edging (10 mm thick). Delivery: 4 weeks.

The WHG programme is part of Kembo’s NED collection
